My name is Captain Kurt Bitikofer. I have a passion for fishing which I love to share with others! Come join Captain Kurt’s Lake Erie Fishing Charters for great fishing action on Lake Erie or its tributaries. Captain Kurt’s Charters is based out of Conneaut, Ohio, just to the west of the PA line and right in the middle of Steelhead Alley.
We specialize in lake charters for walleye (May thru September) and stream or lake fishing for Steelhead (October thru May). We also offer trips for smallmouth bass and lake trout or combo trips for multiple species, depending on the time of year. My goal is to make sure my clients have a great time on the water and get to enjoy all that the Lake Erie shore has to offer. We do day trips, but we specialize in multi day fishing packages.
Smallmouth Bass and Lake Trout fishing
We offer options for lake fishing in April May for Smallmouth Bass and Lake Trout
A very popular option in Spring and early Summer is stream fishing for Smallmouth Bass as well as Channel Catfish. This is most productive in May, June and July. It’s a great option if we get blown off the lake or if you are just not comfortable on big water. It’s lots of fun to wet wade in warm weather and you have a great shot at a trophy bass or catfish! It is not uncommon to catch Smallies over 5 pounds!

All I can say is WOW! My family and I were accustomed to taking a week off and flying to Canada for some legendary fishing experiences. With my first grandchild now only 7 months old we had to change our plans and look for somewhere a bit more civilized.
